Baking Your Gluten Free Cranberry Orange Donuts with White Chocolate Glaze

These donuts bake up faster than it takes you to get dressed, drive to your local donut shop, and get home. With just a few easy tips you’ll be hanging your own Hot Donuts sign.

First, you are going to need a donut pan to make this recipe. Trust me when I say you will find yourself using it all the time. With one simple kitchen tool you will have fun experimenting with flavors and baking up Gluten Free and Dairy Free donuts you can be proud to serve your family.

For these donuts we’re mixing the wet ingredients first. The melted Dairy Free butter, and sugar get mixed before adding the Dairy Free unsweetened yogurt, egg, cranberry flavoring, and orange zest.

When you go to add the dry ingredients, you’re going to mix until everything is just combined. With most baked goods, it’s all about not overmixing. You want that tender bite.

From there you just have to evenly divide your batter between the donut pan and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. I promised you this didn’t take long!

For a final flourish, these are dipped in Dairy Free melted white chocolate glaze that includes oat milk and powdered sugar for that ultimate sweet hug. If you’re feeling fancy and want a little extra texture add a sprinkle of chopped pistachios.

Ingredients

Gluten Free Cranberry Orange Donuts

  • 2 tbsp Dairy Free butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 5 oz unsweetened Dairy Free yogurt
  • 2 tbsp cranberry flavoring
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • zest of 1 orange
  • 1 1/2 cups 1.1 Gluten Free flour
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • chopped pistachios for topping

Dairy Free White Chocolate Glaze

  • 1/4 cup Dairy Free white chocolate, melted
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/8 cup oat milk

Instructions

Gluten Free Cranberry Orange Donuts

  • Preheat the oven to 375. Spray your donut pan with nonstick baking spray.
  • Add your melted butter, orange zest, and sugar to a mixing bowl and mix for a couple of minutes until the sugar is partially dissolved. Add the yogurt, cranberry flavor, vanilla, and eggs and mix to combine.
  • Add the rest of your ingredients and mix until just incorporated. Don't over mix.
  • Divide the batter between your donuts pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Flip donuts out onto a cooling rack and allow to partially cool.
  • Dip into white chocolate glaze and sprinkle with pistachios if adding.

Dairy Free White Chocolate Glaze

  • Melt the white chocolate. Whisk in the oat milk, followed by the powdered sugar until fully incorporated and smooth.
