  • Butter
  • Kosher salt
  • Sugar

How To Make Banana Bread Biscuits

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. 
  2. Brush a 9” cast iron skillet or 7×10 baking dish with 1 tbsp butter. 
  3. Add all the dry ingredients to a bowl & mix until well combined. 
  4. Cut in the butter until fine crumbs. 
  5. Stir in the buttermilk, vanilla, and mashed banana, mix until just
    combined. Be careful not to over mix.
  6. Roll dough out until approx. 1″-1 1/4″ thick. Use a 3″ biscuit
    cutter to cut out 8 biscuits. 
  7. Place in the fridge for 1 hr. 
  8. Then bake for 17-20 minutes, or until the tops or lightly golden brown.

  • 2 ¼ cups Gluten Free 1.1 flour
  • 8 tbsp butter cold
  • 1 ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup mashed ripe banana
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Glaze

  • 2 tsp milk you may need an additional 1 tsp
  • 1/3 cup cream cheese room temp
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
  • Brush a 9” cast iron skillet or 7×10 baking dish with 1 tbsp butter.
  • Add all the dry ingredients to a bowl & mix until well combined.
