Gluten Free Apple Raisin Cake with Cream Cheese Glaze

When the holiday season rolls around, I love having desserts that I can both make ahead of time and that are also perfect for entertaining with. This Gluten Free Apple Raisin Cake with Cream Cheese Glaze checks both boxes and is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

There’s something instantly celebratory and fun about a bundt cake. I love the endless shapes of pans and all of the unique designs. They’re like shoes, you can’t have too many! They’re equally perfect for special occasions and the every day.

An Apple a Day

If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, and cake makes people happy, I think this Gluten Free Apple Raisin Cake with Cream Cheese Glaze might just be the perfect creation. Slicing into this cake you’ll feel how moist it is while bursting with texture.

Part of what gives this cake its abundance of apple flavor also gives it an incredible texture. For the apple portion I am using applesauce. You can use homemade or store bought, but you want to keep in mind the additional sugar and spices it’ll add.

Raisins add the perfect chew to every bite along with their own natural sweetness. In addition to the raisins walnuts also add texture to this cake. There’s nothing like that combination of soft tender cake and the crunch of a nut.

I think my favorite part of this cake might be the Dairy Free cream cheese glaze. There’s something both playful and elegant about the way a glaze hugs a bundt cake and cascades down. Part abstract art, part beautiful design, it gives that perfect tangy yet sweet kiss to every bite.
