  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick baking spray.

  3. This is one of my very favorite cakes; I look forward to making the chocolate version. Saw a reference somewhere while copying the recipe to ‘rum’ and I wonder if some rum would add significantly to it? Chocolate, rum and cream ……. yum, sounds so good!

      Yes, you can add rum! Danielle recommends to stir 2–3 tablespoons into the tres leches mixture before pouring it over the cake—this lets the flavor soak in without affecting the texture.
