They key to a good hot dog is a good bun and my go to is @canyonglutenfree sub rolls. They are perfect for hot dogs, brats, sausages and more! The best part, they are gluten free. They even sent Stitch his own hot dog toy so he could get in on the action, look at that happy face.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. bacon sliced thin
  • 1 large onion minced
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Canyon Bakehouse Sub Rolls Grilled
  • 6 hot dogs
  • *Toppings onions relish, mustard, pickled jalapenos and cheese

Instructions

  • Place a stock pot over medium heat.
  • Allow the pan to heat up and add the sliced bacon.
  • Cook until partially crispy and add in the ground beef and onion.
  • Once the beef is cooked add the pepper, salt, chili pepper, tomato paste, Worcestershire
  • sauce and water.
  • Cook for 30-45 minutes or until the sauce has thickened. Set it aside.
  • Heat the grill up to 400 degrees.
  • Cook the hot dogs for a couple minutes on each side. Remove.
  • Place the sub rolls on the grill and grill each side.
  • We are just placing the rolls on the grill a couple minutes per side.
  • Now assemble your chili dogs and enjoy!
