Do you love barbecue as much as I do? I think I could eat it multiple times every week. This recipe for Gluten Free Korean Barbecue Country Pork Ribs is a bold and flavorful addition to your barbecue lineup.

Gluten Free Korean Barbecue Country Pork Ribs

These sassy country pork ribs bring all of the sticky and glazed sauciness of traditional barbecue ribs with exciting Asian flavors. Spicy, sweet, and savory, you will keep going back for another bite.

    Getting Saucy

As easy at it is to buy a bottle of barbecue sauce, it is just as easy to make your own. It not only allows you to customize it to your favorite flavor profiles, it also gives you control of the ingredients.

With just a handful of pantry staples this sauce comes together quickly for Gluten Free Korean Barbecue Country Pork Ribs. Gochujang provides a sweet, spicy, and savory flavor. This fermented hot sauce is made from gochu-garu, or Korean chili powder. The fermentation process gives it a unique umami flavor you won't find in other hot sauces.

Molasses adds both sweetness and caramelized depth. It also helps these ribs with their beautiful color during cooking as the sugars brown.

Pineapple juice provides another layer of sweetness. In addition to its acidic bite of sweet, it also helps tenderize these country pork ribs.

The Basics of Gluten Free Korean Barbecue Country Pork Ribs

These country ribs couldn't be easier. In just a few steps you will be on your way to total sticky, saucy barbecue bliss. This will be a new favorite dish.

First, let's talk country style pork ribs. These in fact aren't actually ribs but are usually boneless cuts from the pork loin. Because they are lean we want to ensure they stay tender and moist.

To achieve that we are going to cook these at a lower temperature, 300, covered, for two hours, or until tender. Once the country pork ribs are tender they get transferred to a smaller baking dish and tossed in the sauce. Reserve some of the sauce for serving!

An additional 30 minutes of baking uncovered smothered in the Korean barbecue sauce will leave these perfectly glazed, tender, and succulent.
