Make your chili sauce. Add your ground beef and onion to a saucepan on medium-low heat. Allow it to cook through until the ground beef is done. Add the tomato paste and mix to fully incorporate it. - 4 bratwurst
- 1 1/2 cups chili sauce
- 3 tbsp mustard
- 1 cup Dairy Free cheese sauce or sharp cheddar cheese
Chili Sauce
- 1 lbs ground beef
- 1 onion, diced large
- a couple of dashes of cayenne or more to taste
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 3 tsp kosher salt
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 4 cups water
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your pellet grill to 300 or oven to 375.
- Use a sharp knife to split the brats down the top, not cutting all of the way through.
- Spread mustard into the sausages. Stuff the brats with the chili sauce.
- Smoke or bake the sausage boats for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- Top with cheese sauce or cheddar.
