    Ingredients

    One of the reasons Gluten and Dairy Free Pork Meatloaf with Gravy is such a classic is because it combines ingredients you might already have on hands. Not only are the flavors familiar and pure comfort, but so is the easily shoppable grocery list.

    • Ground Pork - More delicate in flavor than beef, it has an ideal meat to fat ratio that keeps this meatloaf moist.
    • Gluten Free Panko - These light and airy breadcrumbs help bind everything together.
    • Dried Parsley - Adds a fresh and grassy note.
    • Ground Thyme - Herbaceous and a little citrusy, this herb is a classic pairing with pork.
    • Salt and Pepper
    • Eggs - Helps bind the meatloaf together and keep it tender.
    • Dairy Free Milk - Use your favorite variety. I like oat milk for this recipe.
    • Mustard - Adds a tangy and savory back note.
    • Worcestershire Sauce - Gives more additional
    • Onion - Used in both the meatloaf and the gravy, it adds savory yet sweet flavor.
    • Green Bell Pepper - Adds texture and moisture to the meatloaf while also providing a bitter savory note.
    • Dairy Free Butter
    • Beef Broth - Adds richness to the savory gravy.
    • Cornstarch - Helps easily thicken the gravy.

    How to Make Gluten and Dairy Free Pork Meatloaf with Gravy

    Meatloaf is a comfort food classic that is both familiar, and also easy to make. With just a few simple steps this dish will have the entire family flocking to the dinner table.

    Time needed: 29 minutes.

    1. Pregame

      Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Spray a 9" loaf pan with nonstick baking spray and set aside.

    2. Sauté

      Heat a large skillet over medium heat with the butter. Add the onions and green bell pepper and cook until the onion is translucent. Allow to cool.

    3. Mix

      Add all of the meatloaf ingredients to a bowl and mix until just combined, careful not to over mix. Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan and press it until even.

    4. Bake

      Allow the meatloaf to bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature is 160. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes while you prepare the gravy.

    5. Gravy

      Heat a saucepan over medium heat. Add the butter and onion and cook the onion until it's translucent. Whisk together the cornstarch and beef broth and pour into the saucepan. Add in the remaining ingredients. Allow the mixture to cook until thickened, about 10 minutes. Taste for salt and pepper.

    6. Serve

      Slice the meatloaf. Drizzle the gravy over the top and serve with your favorite mashed potatoes.

    Variations

    This recipe is made with both Dairy Free and Gluten Free ingredients. Feel free to use regular milk and butter in this recipe. In addition, you can also use regular panko breadcrumbs.

    Top Tip for Gluten and Dairy Free Meatloaf with Gravy

    Meatloaf is as much about the texture as it is the flavor. To make sure your meatloaf is tender and not dense, mix together your ingredients until they are just combined, careful not to over work the meat.

    Ingredients

    Pork Meatloaf

    • 3 lbs ground pork
    • 1 cup Gluten Free panko breadcrumbs
    • 1 tbsp dried parsley
    • ¼ tsp ground thyme
    • 1 ½ tsp kosher salt
    • ½ tsp black pepper
    • 2 eggs
    • ¼ cup Dairy Free milk
    • 1 ½ tsp ground mustard
    • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 onion, diced
    • 1 green bell pepper, diced
    • 2 tbsp Dairy Free buter

    Onion Gravy

    • 1 onion, diced
    • 2 tbsp Dairy Free butter
    • 2 cups beef broth
    • 1 tsp kosher salt
    • ¼ tsp black pepper
    • 1 tbsp cornstarch
    • 1 tsp mustard
    • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • ¼ tsp ground thyme

    Instructions

    Pork Meatloaf

    • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a 9" loaf pan with nonstick baking spray.
    • Heat a sauté pan over medium heat with butter. Add the onion and bell pepper. Allow them to cook until the onion is translucent. Let cool.
    • Add all of the ingredients to a mixing bowl including cooled peppers and onion. Mix until just combined.
    • Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan and press in until even.
    • Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the internal temperature is 160 degrees. Let cool for 15 minutes.
    • Serve with onion gravy and mashed potatoes. Enjoy!

    Onion Gravy

    • Heat a saucepan over medium heat. Add the butter and onions. Allow the onions to cook until translucent.
    • Whisk together the cornstarch and beef broth. Pour the mixture into the saucepan.
    • Add the remaining ingredients and cook for 10 minutes or until the gravy has thickened. Taste for salt and pepper.
