  • Gluten free baking flour.
  • Baking powder.
  • Kosher salt.
  • Brown sugar.
  • Instant rise yeast. The yeast is crucial in making sure that the dough rises properly, so be sure you get the right kind!

How To Make Cinnamon and Sugar Pretzels

  1. In a mixing bowl with a paddle attachment add the warm water, brown sugar and yeast.
  2. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. 
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix on low with the paddle for 5 minutes. 
  4. Remove and place in a lightly greased bowl and cover with saran wrap and a towel for 1 hr or until doubled in size. 
  5. Cut the pretzels into 12 pieces, roll about 12″ long and make smaller sized pretzels (if made too large they will break in the water bath).
  6. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  7. Combine 1 tbsp of kosher salt and 4 tbsp of butter melted. Mix 1/2 cup of sugar with 2 tsp cinnamon for topping.
  8. Add 4qts of water to a large stock pot and boil. Add 1/4 cup of baking soda and 2 tbsp sugar.
  9. Let dissolve before adding the pretzels and add the pretzels one at a time. When you add the pretzel it will sink and then float. 
  10. Once it floats, remove and place on the cookie sheet, brush with butter and cinnamon and sugar mixture. 
  11. Repeat. 
  12. Bake the pretzels for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!
