Easy Blood Orange Tiramisu

Equipment

  • 2 mixing bowl/mixer
  • 1 10x7 baking dish

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg GF lady fingers
  • 1 1/2 cups blood orange juice
  • 16 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 8 egg yolks
  • 16 oz heavy cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark cocoa powder
  • blood orange slices for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • This will fit in a 10x7 baking dish with sides that are at least 2" high.
  • Add the egg yolks and sugar to a bowl. Beat on high for 5 minutes until it's pale yellow in color, silky, and forms ribbons. Set aside.
  • Add the cream cheese and heavy cream to a separate bowl. Mix on high until smooth and combined.
  • Gently fold the egg mixture into the cream cheese mixture and set aside.
  • Pour the blood orange juice into a shallow dish.
  • Quickly dip a lady finger into the orange juice and place in the bottom of the baking dish. Continue until the bottom is covered.
  • Spread half of the cream mixture over the top of the lady fingers. Spread it out.
  • Add a second layer of dipped lady fingers to the top.
  • Spread the remaining cream mixture over the top.
  • Let the tiramisu refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  • Dust cocoa powder over the top. Garnish with blood orange slices if desired.
  • Enjoy!
