Gluten and Dairy Free Spiced Poached Pears
Season's peak pears are poached in bright citrus and warm spices.

1 grill
1 grill safe pan
1 vegetable peeler
1 Tongs
Ingredients
2
ripe pears, peeled
1
cup
water
1
orange peel
1
lemon peel
1/4
cup
orange juice
1
tbsp
balsamic reduction or glaze
I used a fig balsamic reduction
1/4
cup
coconut sugar
can substitute with brown sugar
1
tbsp
mulling spices
Dairy Free vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
Preheat grill to 350-400 degrees.
Place all of the ingredients into a grill safe pot and place on the grill.
Turn the pears every 10 minute with tongs until they are fork tender, about 30 minutes.
Serve with vanilla ice cream. Drizzle a little of the poaching liquid over the top.
