Gluten Free Caramel Apple Upside Down Cake
Moist spiced apple cake is topped with caramelized apples and a Dairy Free condensed milk sauce that seeps into every bite.

apples, roughly chopped, divided

brown sugar
1/2
cup
sugar

Dairy Free butter, room temp

eggs

tsp
vanilla extract

walnuts, chopped

can
Dairy Free condensed sweetened milk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375.
Spray a 10" round cake pan with nonstick baking spray.
Add condensed sweetened milk to the bottom of the pan along with 2 cups of the apples. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl add the sugar and eggs and mix for a couple of minutes until the sugar begins to dissolve and the eggs are a little frothy.
Add the remaining ingredients and stir until just combined. Pour into the prepared cake pan.
Bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow to cool. You can flip onto a plate or scoop out.
If flipping over, run a knife around the entire cake to loosen. Place a plate or cake stand over the top and flip. Enjoy!
